Playoffs, Halloween, Haunted Houses, and TNO

This weekend is Halloween, it’s also playoffs for both the RPI men’s and women’s rugby teams, Troy Night Out, and my Fraternities 30th annual haunted house. For anyone who is unaware, Halloween is not just a holiday for children. It is a favorite among college students, because they get a chance to show their creative [...]

Crushed DuChamp

These pictures are from a class project for one of the electives I’m currently taking. The elective is a seminar on the life and work of Marcel Duchamp, one of the most famous French avant-garde artists of the early 20th century. The professor teaching this class happens to be an artist himself, and he was asked by the University of Montana to create an art print for their annual Day of the Dead Celebration, where the art students there take the print and re-create it uses steamrollers and lots of ink on large rolls of paper.

Fall is here

This week marked the official start of fall. The leaves in and around Troy are beginning to change, the nights are getting into the 30s and 40s, the first round of exams is upon us, and fall rush for the fraternities on campus is ending. Now is the time when we really get a feel [...]

Summer excitement

Hello Class of 2013,
I haven’t been up to date on my blogs like everyone else, so I have a lot to write about. First off, this summer has been so exciting and fun in so many different ways.  I’ve gone hiking, canoeing, camping, exploring the beautiful gorge right in Troy, and so much more, and [...]

So much rain…

I want it to be sunny and warm. Today started to get nice outside, but it rained all morning. This past week the weather has been nasty on most days.  Even this Monday, June 29th, on my birthday it is going to rain!!! I am not too happy about that, but I can’t do much [...]

The nice weather arrives

Song Playing: Marvin Gaye — Stand By Me

Finally, nice weather pulls into Troy! The weather for today and the next couple of days is going to be lovely. The campus is finally starting to look like the pictures in all those college pamphlets (you know, with all the students sitting in the grass or lying there in the sun while studying).

Trying to have fun at RPI is very easy

Seeing the movie was not the greatest idea, since I had class at 8 the next morning—two and a half hours of sleep. It is the last day before spring break and I did not have any work to do for the last day. However, the movie was interesting and I had an awesome time hanging around with friends.

Spring break countdown continues

Today is Friday, and, yes, there is only one more week more until spring break. I am counting down the days until I get the chance to sleep in all day, basically.

The west end of campus

These are some pictures taken on the west end of campus that has some good views of downtown Troy and across the Hudson River—Albany can be seen, too.

On a walk with my camera

Wandering around the academic side of campus with my camera, I decided to take a few photos to share with everyone.
