People may go insane right before Thanksgiving, but Christmas is even better. Now that all the in-class finals and obligatory after-class homework has been completed, the anticipation is hitting me full-power. All I want to do is get on a plane, fly home to Missouri, hug my little sisters, and take that glorious month and [...]
Only a week after returning from Thanksgiving break and only one week of classes remains, followed by a week of finals. Many students, myself included have found that their final two weeks of the semester are possibly the busiest two weeks of the semester. Many professors are trying to get in that final exam, or [...]
The time is here: CRUNCH TIME! The next three weeks between now and practically Christmas, since the last finals day for some people is on December 22. For me personally, I have an exam this Thursday in Strengths of Materials, one Monday in Thermals and Fluids of Engineering and two Tuesday next week, one in Differential Equations and the other in Engineering Processes. Then I have to take two finals during finals week. These exams are my last opportunity to secure my B or maybe even A, in all of my classes. This means that my life will be consumed by studying—with some breaks in between, of course! (Mostly studying, though.)
Thanksgiving break has been incredibly awesome. I had no idea how much I missed Chapel Hill until I got back here on Wednesday. I haven’t spent more than three days with my family since early June. It’s really great to be back and see my family and friends again. Here’s a summary of my Friday: [...]
Sheer Idiocy has done it again. After a tiring week of classes and laptop repairs (which cost a LOT if you’re not on warranty), there’s nothing like a little improv comedy to brighten your weekend. Experimental Error was also pretty good, although they’ve lost a lot of members, unfortunately. Sketch comedy is very hit or miss, so it’s not [...]
All of the XC women have been excited all week for nationals and they left yesterday afternoon to make the 8 hour drive to Ohio as they compete on Saturday morning. A handful of runners are making the road trip out there today to watch them race. Besides nationals, school work has been slowing down [...]
To start off this week, it started raining during Adopt a Highway, so I had to clean in the rain. I thought last week was rough, this week was much worse. I had an exam Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday this week. You can probably see that things weren’t going to well for me. One [...]
This was one of the fastest weeks of the semester. I only had one test this week, because my test that was scheduled for today got moved to Tuesday, so that was nice. The best part about this week is that my hockey team is in the championship game tonight. We destroyed the other team [...]
Well November is finally here, and the semester is well past the halfway point. This means that the second or third set of tests have come and gone, and many classes have started their final projects. With the exception of Thanksgiving break, November into December is the hardest time of the year. I have 2 [...]
To say the least, last week was exhausting. I had another presentation for senior lab about fluid flow, a test in chemical engineering separations, and a few other assignments thrown in there. We had a hockey game on Monday night, but got crushed because we haven’t played in over two weeks. We are still in [...]
