Song Playing: Jet — Shine On
Last night, a really good friend from home arrived to spend a night here at RPI. A friend and I hauled a mattress from her room to my room, so my friend from home would have a place to sleep.
Classes have resumed! The sky is bright, the air is warm, and students yell for joy (during class, even!) as they get their tests back. As is the tradition, the instant spring break ends, the weather gets awesome.
I had a really nice spring break. I met up with some friends and had a good time. I also saw some family and spent time with them, too.
First of all, in college spring break does not consist of peeps, Easter eggs, or bunnies. Spring break in college is actually a full month away from Easter.
Everyone was slowly coming back on Sunday and school would be starting back up the next day, so we wanted to go do some visiting and play some of our epic games to signify us all being back.
The wind whistling through the lounge from the open windows, the empty residence halls on all sides, and even the enjoyable weather all combine into a feeling of complete peacefulness. Of course, that’s probably because I’m staying on campus for the break, but still …
Although my friends are not here on campus with us, they are still good about getting online to chat. Despite being many miles away, we still had a few things we could do.
Both my roommate Felipe and I are going to end up being stuck here for spring break and most of our friends will be leaving today or tomorrow, so we decided to go visit them one last time before break.
Seeing the movie was not the greatest idea, since I had class at 8 the next morning—two and a half hours of sleep. It is the last day before spring break and I did not have any work to do for the last day. However, the movie was interesting and I had an awesome time hanging around with friends.
Everyone is probably going to be off to the beaches and sun, but I’ll be back in the city.
