Well November is finally here, and the semester is well past the halfway point. This means that the second or third set of tests have come and gone, and many classes have started their final projects. With the exception of Thanksgiving break, November into December is the hardest time of the year.

This semester I am enrolled in only 4 classes, but I think that I have my work cut out for me. My classes this semester are Fundamentals of Nuclear Engineering, Engineering Ethics, Thermals and Fluids Engineering, and Electronic Instrumentation. While these are all fairly challenging courses, so far they have been fairly interesting.

Well, it didn’t work out how we had planned. Our craft could lift itself, but nothing else, so we had to present a non-working product. Most of our individual components worked. The judges that were grading the final projects still liked our product due to its difficulty, being it was a green mode of transportation and because we were ambitious.
Greek life hosts several events throughout the week, like karaoke nights, comedians, movies, etc. It’s also nice to have a lot of people wearing letters and representing Greek life in a positive way.
I had fallen asleep while folding cloths so I showed up late to PDI, but I had arrived just in time for the team meeting. Our project was beginning to look more and more like a hovercraft, but we were still missing a few parts and this thing is due next Thursday.
Throughout the semester, we have six projects due in modeling and analysis of uncertainty. They are all completed in groups of two to four, and so far we have been good on getting our work turned in. But, today we found out that a project that we thought was due next Friday was actually due today.

These are some pictures and renders from my final studio project last semester. This project was a partner project that involved designing new dormitories. The idea for the design was supposed to be derived from patterns within nature.
This week is really hectic. I had two exams and two projects due today. But, it’s not over. I have another test on Wednesday and a lab due Friday.
