DAN DEACON comes to the EMPAC today!!! I am very excited! I plan to make a video documenting the show.
In other news: Dan Deacon will not be at the show… Yes I know this information conflicts with what is written above. I literally just found out that Dan Deacon has been injured and will not [...]
Halloween is coming up! This means that my fraternity will be hosting an annual Halloween event called “Goobers.” It’s something we put on for Troy public school children. We collect a bunch of leaves, fill our hallway, and pretty much make it into a haunted house. It’s really fun to dress up and decorate rooms [...]
This week has gone by so quickly! I had three exams this week, and I feel really good about how I did on all of them. I actually got my chemistry exam back today, and I got an A on that so fingers crossed that the rest of them have similar grades! Hopefully I should [...]
For me, this is a test-filled week, though I only have 2. At 8 am Wednesday I took my first Chemistry exam. I think it went pretty well, probably because I have been studying like mad for several days. Most of the freshmen I know are in Chemistry, making it almost too [...]
So this was definitely the most stressful week so far. I had three homework assignments due, a presentation yesterday, and a test today. I spent so much time in the Union working, because it’s tough for me to get work done in my house because there is always something fun going on. But it’s all [...]
Every semester, RPI hosts a number of student and local bands to compete in the “Battle of the Bands.” This year’s was a lot of fun and here are a few pictures from last night.
Over the weekend, I had a chance to watch one of RPI’s a cappella groups, The Rensselyrics. If you have never seen a live a cappella group, then I would definitely recommend that you take the time to see one of their shows.
You always know it’s spring time at Rensselaer—the residence halls start to empty and the grassy hills start seeing people relaxing with friends, reading for a class, and playing music just to enjoy the outdoors.
Guitar 101 is not actually a class at RPI, but this is a picture taken during my circuits class. Many professors may go over slides to teach you a specific topic, but, sometimes, it is better to learn with some real-life applications.
I have a tendency to listen music a lot, so I am always using headphones. Freshman year, I got a nice pair of Brookstone headphones—the ones that wrap around your ears.
