I’ve noticed that nearly every day at the same time during my IEA class I can hear a fire truck close by. I’m not quite sure what this says about Troy. Perhaps 2:00-3:50 Monday and Thursday are very fire-prone times. More likely, however, is that the Fire Dept is doing some sort of a test [...]
Wooo! The ECAV opening was amazing. Fanfest was loaded down with all sorts of food at the start of the day, including kettle corn, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, ice cream, and free soda! After the initial part of the day, where I said hi to dozens of friends and sat on the high steps, the games [...]
Homework assignments are starting to pick up now that the first tests of the semester are out of the way. This is the real meat of any semester, where every single difficult assignment comes due all at once. You might also notice that all tests tend to happen on the same week for no apparent [...]
For me, this is a test-filled week, though I only have 2. At 8 am Wednesday I took my first Chemistry exam. I think it went pretty well, probably because I have been studying like mad for several days. Most of the freshmen I know are in Chemistry, making it almost too [...]
This last week has marked the true beginning of the fall semester. Tests have begun to appear, more and more events are popping up on the calendar, and the first parties have commenced. Of particular note was the mini-party held last night, which was a celebration sponsored by Ubisoft to celebrate the release of one [...]
So this has been another awesome week here at the office of FYE. Especially last night, cause we all went out to Bombers in Schenectady after work. As you can see in the picture, they gave us each a tattoo when they brought the bill. I was the only one who had the guts to [...]
On May 2, the School of Architecture students had their thesis final reviews. It was a long road to get to this point, so we were all very happy and relieved to make it there. After all the reviews were over, the school had a BBQ party for us outside of the Greene Building on the lawn. It was a very happy time with drinks, food, and happy people. Later in the evening all of our professors came out and joined us in the celebration.

My parents decided to come visit me today! They came and brought up some “dim sum” for me. It was truly salivating when a whiff of the dim sum came tingling down to my senses.
Last weekend, my resident assistant hosted a BBQ event outside behind our residence hall. We grilled hamburgers, hotdogs, and for some corn. The food was great, the weather was nice, and a lot of people showed up. Here are some pictures.
We had spent some money the last few nights on take out so I decided that I would go to the super market, pick up some stuff, and make something myself. I decided to try my dad’s specialty “sopita con carne” and test how mine came out.
