The past couple weeks have all been winding down to finals week. Most of my classes have been getting in a few last chapters for the third set of midterms and reviewing for our last exams. Introduction to engineering dynamics has also been a bit busy getting all the final pieces together, but, if anything, I’m staying calm and preparing to go home.
So the end of my first year as a student at RPI has finally come to an end. The stress of finals have ended and I have returned back home. Overall, the year went by with many ups and downs. I’ve made unforgettable memories with a bunch of great friends.
On May 2, the School of Architecture students had their thesis final reviews. It was a long road to get to this point, so we were all very happy and relieved to make it there. After all the reviews were over, the school had a BBQ party for us outside of the Greene Building on the lawn. It was a very happy time with drinks, food, and happy people. Later in the evening all of our professors came out and joined us in the celebration.
The Game Jam was awesome. Nothing beats sitting down for eight hours and working non-stop. You end up with weird and wacky games at the end, which is most of the fun. The theme was “One Button Games.”
As of 9:50 this morning, I am done with classes and now all that remains ahead of me are finals. It has been a good year, maybe not quite as good as I had hoped, but I can’t complain about it.
It’s time to prepare for my final tests. I don’t have a real final this semester, as all my classes are having the finals in class. It makes me realize something, though: The semester will be over in only a little over a month—I’m almost in shock. It has gone by too fast! I had so much more I wanted to do this year! Ah, well. Time to start planning summer vacation.
These are some pictures and renders from my final studio project last semester. This project was a partner project that involved designing new dormitories. The idea for the design was supposed to be derived from patterns within nature.

Okay, so it’s only been one day, but I figured that it was a pretty interesting day I mind as well write about it. So a couple of friends and I decided to bake some cupcakes for a friend’s belated birthday. We brought them to Commons and waited [...]
