IT’S FINALLY HERE!! Session 5 of Orientation and Navigating Rensselaer and Beyond are finally here! The staff is back and we can’t wait for you to arrive.  But this only means one thing – classes are a week away.  I can’t believe how fast this summer went.  I had [...]

I can’t believe I’m actually saying…

Now Listening – “Girl All The Bad Guys Want” by Bowling For Soup
I still can’t believe it’s only a week until the SO Staff is back and ready for Student Orientation Session 5 and Navigating Rensselaer & Beyond.  Everything is coming together and I can’t wait for it all to start.  I’m also really excited [...]

Keeping busy until classes start

Now Listening – “Say Anything (else)” by Cartel
I still can’t believe how fast this summer’s going!  In a little more than two weeks I’ll be beginning my Junior year of college.  I’m really excited.  This week’s been fun.  There are a good amount of advisors still in the area, so we all went out to [...]

A theater nerd’s weekend

Now Listening – “New Divide” by Linkin Park
It’s been weird coming back to the office.  After running around like crazy during the two weeks of Orientation, being back at the FYE office gives a nice, relaxing feeling now.  However, as strange as it may seem, I like the craziness.  I guess that may just be [...]

Wait, the next SO isn’t until August?

Now Listening – “I Got A Feeling” by Black Eyed Peas
Sunday, I got up at 6AM and realized “Wait, the next SO isn’t until August?”  I can’t believe how fast these two weeks went and even more so how much I miss Orientation.  Meeting all of you was so much fun and I can’t wait [...]

And we just keep going

I still can’t believe we’re already done with two Student Orientation sessions already. They were a lot of fun and I’m so glad I got to meet a lot of you. To celebrate, we all went out tonight to Buca di Beppo on Wolf Rd. in Albany and had some great food. Tomorrow, we’re all heading to Grafton Lake to hang out. Then, we’ve got the first transfer orientation, a day off to prepare, and then two more student orientation sessions. I can’t wait. For those…

One week…

Now Listening – “Contagious” by Trapt
What a week! I hope you all had a happy and safe 4th of July.  I basically just hung around and didn’t do much.  The RPI Players decided to have a BBQ for those who were in the area still on the 3rd and that was fun.  My 4th consisted [...]

Memories of an NRB gone by

Hey Everyone.  Hope you are all having a great summer! I still can’t believe how fast this summer is going!   Before you know it, classes will start.
First, I would like to answer Kel’s question from my previous post.  To answer your question, I really can’t suggest a [...]

Home and back again

Now Listening – “Spin” by Taking Back Sunday
Hey everyone.  This week was pretty cool.  It started last weekend when I went home to Staten Island, NY for my baby cousin’s christening.  Baby Thomas is only 2 months and he’s so cute.  This was also the first time I was able to see him awake.  All [...]

Now Listening – “When Your Heart Stops Beating” – +44
Hey Everyone! Chris here again.  This week went by really fast.  We have a lot of your packets put together for orientation and everything is coming together very nicely.  I decided to use this entry to give some advice to you for your first year.  These [...]
