So the end of my first year as a student at RPI has finally come to an end. The stress of finals have ended and I have returned back home. Overall, the year went by with many ups and downs. I’ve made unforgettable memories with a bunch of great friends.
Song Playing: Dashboard Confessional — Vindicated
Today started off as a lovely day. My friends and I decided to go out to the park for a small picnic. We did what normal people do at the park: played on the swings, threw a Frisbee around, played “Flush the Toilet”, etc. Then when we were leaving, I [...]
ong Playing: Weezer — Beverly Hills
Another day of great weather! Today I decided to go play volleyball behind Commons. It felt great to finally be outside underneath a clear blue sky and dig my feet into the sun-bathed sand.
Song Playing: Marvin Gaye — Stand By Me
Finally, nice weather pulls into Troy! The weather for today and the next couple of days is going to be lovely. The campus is finally starting to look like the pictures in all those college pamphlets (you know, with all the students sitting in the grass or lying there in the sun while studying).
Song Playing: Jet — Shine On
Last night, a really good friend from home arrived to spend a night here at RPI. A friend and I hauled a mattress from her room to my room, so my friend from home would have a place to sleep.
Song Playing: Radiohead — Creep
I got my room for next year’s housing! I got a super single in E-Complex. Honestly, I really will miss living with some roommates.
It’s Grand Marshal Week! We have tomorrow off from classes!
Song Playing: Frank Valli — Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You
My parents decided to come visit me today! They came and brought up some “dim sum” for me. It was truly salivating when a whiff of the dim sum came tingling down to my senses.
A couple of friends and I have been trying to figure out what to do for housing next year. We’ve been considering off-campus housing, so today we decided to go look at some apartments.
So, I went to SUNY Stony Brook yesterday to visit some friends. I wound up staying the night there. It was actually a very good experience to see how different Stony Brook is from RPI. The campus was A LOT bigger with A LOT more students.
